I Spy…The Glasgowbury Festival
Posted in All, Informative, Music by NoddyGuy at 11:11 pm | No Comments »

The Glasgowbury Festival is Northern Ireland’s largest outdoor music festival. It is essentially a celebration of the arts, with lots of well known bands, along with numerous local bands playing on stage, demonstrating the abundance of talent that we have here in Ireland, while there are also workshops and such going on around the site. Now in its 7th year, the co-ordinators hope that this year’s festival will draw a huge crowd and that it will be an outrageous extravaganza of ‘craic’.

The festival is named after the guy who started the whole thing, Paddy Glasgow and inspired by Glastonbury’s festival which usually runs around the same time each year in England. I still think it should be Glasgowderry or even Glastonderry but I suppose that’s just too strange.
