Google comes out with some of the most amazing things. When I first installed Google Earth I must have stayed up all night looking at every place I have ever lived. The new Google Street View is on that list of amazing things.
At first glance the Google Maps page may look the same but if you search in a hand full of cities (Denver, Las Vegas, Miami, New York, and San Francisco) you will notice a new little icon near the “satellite”, “Map” and “Hybrid” links called “Street View”.
Street View is what Quicktime QTVR promised us but never truly delivered, not on this scale. After clicking on the new icon you will see blue double lines all over each city. If you click on any area between the two blue lines you can see a panorama image from street level at the exact location. You really have to check it out for yourself. The link below should drop in the middle of the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco.
