I Spy…FixMyMovie.com. They fix movies.
Fixmymovie.com is one of the few sites using the new technology released by Adobe in their latest flash player. Without getting too technical it basically allows for much better quality for your videos. This means that eventually we will see better videos on places like YouTube and other video sites. In addition to using this new technology, Fixmymovie.com also fixes other aspects of your movies such as lighting, colour and pixelation making your videos look better. Below is a sample movie I created this weekend with my phone (nokia N70) to document the fact that we had no water on both Saturday and Sunday afternoon due to poor pressure at our new house.
If you have movies that need fixing then you may want to jump over to FixMyMovie.com

Ok so here’s the catch and why I think they are going the wrong direction with this service.
At first I thought this seemed like a great little free service to help make movies or videos better but they only fix the first 10 seconds of the video for free. Now granted they give you a $25 credit for signing up which means you can have 25 movies fixed for free but after that you will need to pay $.99 for each movie you want “fixed”.
Here is why I can’t see paying for this service.
1. The video or movies are on their servers and I can not download them back to my computer. I am forced to embed them using their tools anytime I want to “share” my movies. This means they are going to get traffic for my content and will be able to make money on the ads placed in or around the movie.
2. Their logo is always placed on top of my content. You’d think that if I am paying them to fix something they could at least remove the logo, right?
3. Youtube or someone else will do something similar for free very soon once people adopt the latest Adobe Flash Player technology.
