This does not look like the flying car I expected to see growing up as a kid but it does look like fun.
It’s basically a souped up quad with a para foil attached to the top. They plan on making an amazing 6 thousand mile journey both by land and air from London to Timbuktu to prove the cars worthiness. I would love to see the video from this journey. I wish them the best.

We all love stickers right? Well I know I do. Even if my kids decide to place them all over my keyboard, monitor, doors, television and more. Something about a sticker just fascinates me and I don’t know why. Perhaps I should seek therapy.
If you love stickers too you should seriously check out the website www.stickertotheman.com. Basically, you give them your address. They send you a bunch of stickers for free. You then take a photo of one sticker showing where you put said sticker and they place the photos online. Sounds like a fun project.
We’d like to get photos from as many different cities around the world as we possibly can. It is perhaps our way of vicariously getting to see places around the world. Depending on the kind of response we get, we’ll probably keep getting different/more stickers printed when we run out of a batch.

The great folks over at the Techeblog have posted a great article about a potential new sink that is truly inspiring and amazing. As you can see from the images the design is beautiful but it also takes interactivity and controlling the sink to a whole new world. To control the water flow and temperature you use a metal ball that is tracked by electromagnets. It also has LED lights in both red and blue to light up the sink and water depending on whether you choose cold or hot water.
I would love a sink like this in my house but I know my kids would lose the damn ball within minutes. Plus I think this is just a concept at the moment.

Now this looks very interesting. You spray water on these flowers and within a few minutes you have a simulated bouquet of flowers. It looks as though you could send it as a card or even keep a few handy and when you get close to the person your giving the pseudo-flowers to you just pull them out and give them a spray.
The designer is Lee Ki-Seung and his design recently won at the Red Dot Online: Design Concept. Here is what he says about his design:
Instant Blossom is a reinterpretation of the traditional vase. Presented as an “instant” package that contains a simulated vase and hydroponic flowers, it unobtrusively adds life to a space, or can be shared with others.

We love our mosaics here at the ispy site. We featured a site before called Mosaickr which makes creating a mosaic from your photos very easy. In fact I even bought a few a I made and had them framed. I love looking at them and so do my my kids.
Lewis Lavoie take the mosaic to a whole new level. Not only are these wonderful mosaics but they are also done as murals. Each one is created by hand and they look just amazing. These photos by Bobby Neel Adams are amazing. He has a few sets that feature photos of the same person both young and old. He has used no Photoshop and actually rips and tares them by hand and scans them in. It sure makes for some interesting photos that’s for sure.
You should really check out the couples section as well. He take a couple and merges them together and the results are almost disturbing but totally intriguing.

Finding the right color or colour depending on where your from, used to be a daunting task but not anymore. This is probably the 3rd tool I have seen the last few months that was built to help you pick the palette. COPASO is very easy to use and allows you to easily save your palettes for use in the future. One thing I really love about COPASO, aside from it’s ease of use, is the fact that you can share your palette with the world.

I love photography that has subtle yet significant connections in them. Things you might miss if you didn’t pay attention to the details of each shot. Matt Stuart has captured the true essence of this in all his photography.
I can’t tell if these are totally random or whether he has actually staged them. They are taken in London after all and you can see anything in London if you just walk around enough and keep your eyes open. Either way, I think he does a great job of capturing an intriguing shot each time.

I just found this site that has created a new sport that is for designers on the web. It’s very new and really quite interesting. It’s called layer tennis and basically allows two designers to have a show down in real time. They both need to be online for the duration of the match and have access to the file server where they both send their edited files back and forth. They only 15 minutes per round and they have a total of 10 rounds. Here is how the site explains it:
We’ll be playing matches using lots of different applications, from Adobe® Photoshop® to Adobe® Flash®, but the basic idea is the same no matter what tools are in use. Two artists (or two small teams of artists) will swap a file back and forth in real-time, adding to and embellishing the work. Each artist gets fifteen minutes to complete a “volley” and then we post that to the site. A third participant, a writer, provides play-by-play commentary on the action, as it happens. The matches last for ten volleys and when it’s complete, everyone visiting the site votes for a winner.
Visit them online and see for yourself. Who knows, if it were with Fireworks I would give it a go myself. Looks fun.

This is such a great idea. I love both the look of this gadget and the fact that’s it can be used in a power outage as well. It’s functional and great looking.
So it’s a table lamp that you power by turning the over-sized key. It works and looks a lot like a real table lamp but you don’t need to plug it in. Plus when it’s time to go to bed or leave the room you just let the timer run out and it goes out. Brilliant if you ask me. I wish more things were like this.
I don’t have a lot of information about the lamp at the moment such as price or how much time you get each time you twist it but I will report back here as I find more.

A Million Little Pictures is offering everyone the chance to contribute to their new project which involves collecting a million little pictures and then showcasing them in a town that has yet to be decided.
Basically, you send them $16 and they send you back a disposable camera. You then take your shots with the camera, anything in the category or theme of “adventures” and then send the camera back to them. The photos will then be included in the exhibit. If that was not enough, they are also going to pick the town to hold the exhibition in based on the number of people who participate from that town or city.
I am really curious how this will work out, not only the photos that will be taken but also which town or city will win.

It’s amazing how things have changed in the computer world and just how quickly it has done so. I bought my first computer in 1998 and it had 6 gigs of space. I have just as much room on my mobile phone.

“Faces in Places” is a funny little photo pool or group at Flickr. People who have found a face in an unusual place are sharing their photos and some of them are just plain fun to look at.
I have picked a few of my favourites and I know for the next few days I will be looking for faces myself. Who knows I may add a few as well.
This story is amazing and the images are beautiful and inspirational. The “world’s littlest angel” Kenadie Jourdin was born in 2003 and her parents were told she might not live through the night due to the fact she was born with primordial dwarfism. This extremely rare condition affects only 100 people in the world. She isn’t expected to grow past about 30 inches or weigh more than 8 pounds.
Her story is just amazing and I wanted to share these beautiful images with you.

Now I have not tried this one yet but it does look pretty cool. Basically you upload a photo of a child and they place the child into one of a number of story books, based on the one you choose.
I remember getting a book once that had my name in the book as the main character. It was a customized book that replaced the name of the lead character with your name for a fee. At the time I thought it was pretty neat. Even though I could totally see the different font used for my name than that of the rest of the story. This is like the next version of that I guess.
The books themselves can be ordered and customized online for $32.95 and they also sell other gifts to go along with the books. So let’s say you have a nephew who loves pirates and you place him and his photo in a story about pirates, you could also send him the same pirate hat that he would be wearing in the book as a bonus gift. I love the idea of this and will probably be sending one to someone for a birthday or even Christmas.

I can’t decide whether I think this is cool or creepy. Basically it’s furniture that will react to your body heat and display colors appropriately. It’s very similar to the heat sensitive shirts called Hypercolor that we had in the early 90′s that would change color depending on temperature.
The furniture was created by designers Erin Hayne and Nuno Goncaives and the furniture consists of stools, benches and chairs. They are calling it “The Swamp Collection” and we have no word on price yet but I can guess it’s expensive.
Forget Bradd and Angelina or even Bradd and Jennifer, what about Jennifer and Angelina? Now your talking crazy.
Here is your chance to play god just a little bit. Basically you upload facial photos and prepare them using the great web interface by selecting common areas of the face such as eyes, mouth, nose, ears…you get the idea. Once you are done you can merge them together and see what it would be like if the two people in the image had a baby and that baby grew up to become an adult.
If your to lazy or pressed for time to upload and prepare your own photos the have a list of celebrity photos for you to use that have already been prepared. It’s well built, easy to use, very fun and totally free. If you want to use your own photos you will need to sign up for a free account but it took me only a few seconds to do.
